Enabling your PayPal account for Auto-Charge Reciprocity Payments

To enable Auto-Charge Reciprocity payments, you need a PayPal Business account. Once you confirm that you have one, you'll create an App from the PayPal Developer Dashboard, then use the provided Client ID and Client Secret key to fill in the appropriate fields in your Comsend Preferences. 

How to Create and Edit an App from the PayPal Developer Dashboard

Step 1: Access the Developer Dashboard




Step 2:  Create a New App

  • Click Create App.

  • Fill out:

    1. App Name (e.g. Comsend App)

    2. App Type: Leave as Merchant.

    3. Sandbox Account: Use the default business sandbox.

  • Click Create App to finish.






Step 4: Configure the App

  • Click on your new app

Set the Vault settings towards the bottom:



  • Access API Credentials (Client ID, Secret).

  • Copy and paste the Client ID and Secret into the PayPal Business fields in Comsend Preferences.






Be sure to test a payment with a Reciprocity scenario to confirm that all is in order!
