PayPal IPN Resend

PayPal IPN Resend

In the event of a breakdown in communication between PayPal and Comsend it may be necessary to resend previous Instant Payment Notifications so that Comsend will correctly reflect the payments that members made.

Steps:
1. Login into your Paypal account

2. Go to Settings (the gear icon)

3. Go to Seller Tools on the menu

4. Go to Instant Payment Notifications and click Update

5. Your IPN should already be set to Enabled. If it's not then you should enable it. And if forced to enter a URL you can try to enter any - including https://purimproject.com/purim_project/index.php/paypal/notify (It's not clear why Paypal forces it. We don't need it hardcoded).

6. Go to your IPN History

7. Search for the IPNs within the date range in question.

8. Confirm the first and last transactions that weren't received in Comsend, select those and the transactions between them and Resend.
You'll find that the Comsend Payment Details report includes all PayPal Transaction Codes which you can compare with your PayPal account (don't resends codes that are already in Comsend).

Note that resending IPNs that have already been received by Comsend will cause double payments to incorrectly appear.
