Updating Members - Options
There are a number of ways you can go about updating your member list. Below you can see the different methods along with the advantages and considerations for each.

Updating member information one by one in Comsend (our admin portal)
| Safest and most accurate. Immediate results. | Not practical for extensive changes as manually updating in this manner can take a long time. | Go to the Members area on the menu and edit the members that you wish to update. |

Exporting your current list from Comsend, updating changes in Excel and uploading
| An accurate method from our perspective as the updates work based on our Member IDs. | Might still be considerable manual effort and there's danger of missing new members.

3 | Deleting all your current data and starting fresh with a new Member List upload. | Easiest to do with obvious outcome of having exactly what's on your list, no more, no less. |
Potentially a significant drawback is that you will lose all your historical member selections. Members will not be able to see who they selected or who selected them next year.
| Submit a ticket to support requesting a deletion of all your member data. |
4 | Uploading a new list, synchronizing the data with what exists already, with or without Disabling all who are not on your new list | Retain all your historical information and change only what's needed. |
If a member match cannot be made (either on an External ID or an email address) then the member will be added so you may have some duplicates to work through and delete after the load. Also, it's possible that members may be disabled unintentionally if they were added to Comsend but are missing from your new list.
