E-Card Product
The E-Card product allows you to prompt your members to sponsor e-cards sent from your community to anyone, via email (typically non-members). Members will specify the people to whom they want to send their e-card along with their message and the admin will send out all the e-cards in bulk at the end of the campaign.
To avoid confusion, it’s important to clarify the difference between the E-Card product and emailing your Final Letters. Emailing your Final Letters is a digital method for delivering them to members, eliminating the need for physical delivery. The E-Card product, however, is an optional service that enables members to send greetings to people who aren’t on your member list. Note: E-cards need to be sent by the admin. They are not sent automatically since the admin will control the timing and the look-and-feel of the cards.
Customizing and Enabling your E-card Product
Under
Campaign Settings you'll find a Products tab with several types of products to choose from, one of which is E-Cards
Specify the charge for your e-card and the prompt for the members
Confirm that the E-card is active
Sending your E-cards
- At the end of your campaign you'll need to customize your E-card and send them to the recipients.
- Under the Emails menu item, select E-Card
- Add whatever graphic and text you want (e.g. "Temple Shalom is happy to share the following E-Card sponsored in your name") along with an Email subject
- Be sure to include the ecard_greeting macro in your email which will merge-in the members' greetings
- Select recipients and Send
