Comsend's Product feature allows you to customize and add products, such as additional baskets or promotional items, to enhance your offerings and increase your fundraising. You can manage and define these products directly within the Campaign settings.
There are four types of Products you can choose from:
- Open Priced, typically used for Donations, where your members can indicate any amount of contribution they choose.
- Regular Gifts are gifts that are handed to the members (vs. sent on their behalf to the recipients)
- Gifts with Recipients are gifts that you will send to the recipients on behalf of the members, and members will be prompted to include the name and address of each recipient.
- E-cards are email greetings that your members can sponsor. More here.
- The Surcharge Product feature enables you to prompt members to include a customizable percentage in their order to cover surcharge fees.
Fixed Products are indicated with an anchor icon and the purpose of these are to serve as standing samples for each of the above three types, hence not all Fixed Product fields can be edited by design. You can choose to either use the samples as a template based on the type of Product you want to offer, or a new Product can be added by clicking the Add Product button.
Every Product has the following fields:
- Status: On or Off (Activated or Deactivated). Deactivated products will not be displayed to your members.
- Product Name
- Unit Price or Open Price (Donations are usually open priced, gifts typically have a unit price)
- Quantity Limit (per member)
- Product Picture which can be uploaded from your computer (or you may choose to delete the existing sample picture by clicking the trashcan icon)
- A Greeting Prompt option for gifts (which you'll send on behalf of members)
- Custom Text for your members
Products can also be activated or deactivated from the summary Product Table using the Active switch:
