A Teacher Appreciation Campaign is one where student families are prompted to send messages of gratitude to teachers and optionally make a donation towards a gift to specified teachers. There's also an option for families to purchase a product, such as school merchandise, for general fundraising purposes. These campaigns are popular for schools and are typically launched towards the end of a school year.
Your Member List
As any campaign you need to have an
updated Member List to include both those that you'll invite to send greetings (student families) and those who receive them (teachers). You'll want to change your member Permissions field so that all those who will send greetings are "Select Only" and all those who are to receive greetings are "Display Only". You can do so more easily by exporting your member list, updating the fields in Excel, and re-importing your list.
The manual equivalent of updating the Permissions field is as follows:
Customizing your Campaign
Next you'll want to define a new Greeting Exchange Campaign Type (learn more about campaigns
here). You'll probably want to allow members to add greetings (checkbox on the first tab) and to set your fee for greetings at $0 (i.e. no charge). Next you'll want to customize your First Page text, and finally, you may want to create a Product for each teacher allowing your members to donate towards gifts for teachers (more on Products
here).

Launching your Campaign
As all campaigns, you'll launch your Teacher Appreciation campaign by sending an email to all student families (more on emailing
here). Be sure that your campaign dates are current and that you've tested the process yourself first.
