How do I email?

Comsend offers powerful email management functionality that can help you quickly and easily communicate to your families. The most common email messages that are sent are initial member invitations to participate in a campaign, reminder emails and at the end of the campaign the Final Letters (aka Consolidated Greeting Cards).

Comsend emails allow you to send unique information to each user, including a personalized and encrypted link to login for example, through a single formatted email. The “sender” of these emails will appear as the sender indicated in your Settings (See Settings below).

Accessing

Email Management can be accessed from the Emails menu item on the main menu bar, either select Drafts and Sent or Compose Mail depending on what you want.

Compose Mail

Select Compose Mail to write a new email to your Members select using the rich text editor and the macros which are available to personalize your emails. Don't miss the Auto URL macro which will send a unique and encrypted url to each of your members inviting them to click and enter the website without having to enter their username and password.




When you complete the email message you’re ready to select recipients for your email. Click the Continue to Select Recipients button on the lower right side. You can select individual families, all families that start with a certain letter (by clicking “check” by the letter of the alphabet), and many combinations using the Group-by button to make your emails better targeted.

Drafts and Sent

Here you'll find emails that you wrote and sent, as well as those you have yet to send. If the email is a draft it will say so in parenthesis. Simply click on the subject to enter and continue editing your email.

If the email was sent already and you want to reuse it, click the Reuse icon in the Action column.
