Discount Codes

Discount Codes

Discount Codes are used to extend special discounts to designated members. For example you might extend a 20% discount for all staff members. The discount codes are applied by members when they login and you can email these members separately (e.g. by category) to share the discount code with them.

To create a discount code, edit your campaign and select the Pricing and Settings tab. You can define your code in the Discount Codes section as in this example:

There is an option to automatically extend a discount to online members. This option is typically used when a special incentive is extended for online selection vs. paper forms that are sometimes submitted. In addition, some customers extend an auto-discount for early entries (e.g. first week of the campaign) and remove it thereafter.

Note that your discounts will apply to regular selections as well as reciprocity, where there is no marginal cost associated with additional regular selections or reciprocity selections. Product charges, on the other hand, are not affected by the discounts, nor are donations.

You can also include custom text to prompt your members for the Discount Code. To enter your custom text go to the Texts tab in your campaign settings and select the Discount Text box.

When your members go through the selection process they'll be prompted for the Discount Code at the Additional Options step.

Finally, the member's invoice will reflect the discount code as follows:
